November at Rock House Wood
I had another couple of visits to the wood in November. I wanted to try the Hermagis 305mm brass lens wide open hence the ‘swirl’ towards the back and front of the print. It’s supposedly a ‘look’ that photographers want from these old lenses but I’m not sure I’m keen for my own work. Still, I was pleased with the print. What attracted me to this particular scene was the old wall which has been a boundary at some point but has been left to fall down over the years – probably when the area was taken over by the Forestry Commission.
